St Michael’s CE School in Pelsall school is looking for a new community governor who can
help move the school forward to the next stage of its development. Headteacher Mrs Ros Hutchinson is inviting applications from locals who wish to make a positive contribution to life in the community.
Community governors do not have to have children at the school, but require a willingness and desire to help the committed governing body continue its drive to improve standards and ensure that St Michael’s is a school that pupils want to go to.
The school recently opened a new £500,000 extension, which houses its nursery and out of school club, and has exciting plans to continue its drive for improvements.
“We are entering a very exciting phase at St Michael’s School and need a new community governor who can work with us to ensure the place is a safe and happy one for the children,” said Mrs Hutchinson.
“The governing body is a hard-working and dedicated band of volunteers that is essential to the success of the school.”
Anyone interested in this voluntary position who would like to find out more about the role should contact Mrs Hutchinson on 01922 682309.
