Sex attack on Pelsall Common

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was allegedly subjected to a sexual assault on Pelsall Common over the weekend.

The incident took place between 8-10.30pm on Friday, October 8, as the victim, a 38 year old woman, walked across Pelsall Common in Church Road.

She was approached by a man described as being white, 5’5, wearing a hooded top and dirty white trainers.

The man sexually assaulted the woman, before leaving the scene.

Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

DCI Sue Parker from the public protection unit at Bloxwich said:” We think there would have been a number of witnesses who were in the Pelsall Common area at that time on Friday evening and we would like to ask for anyone walking or driving a car who may have seen anything suspicious to contact us at Bloxwich police station on 0345 113 5000.”

DCI Parker added that the local neighbourhood police team had increased reassurance patrols around the common over the weekened and had been carrying out local enquiries.
