Five hundred homes in Pelsall had their water supply disrupted this morning after a pipe burst.
The burst happened on a main pipe in Lichfield Road at 3am and South Staffs Water officials redirected the network to ensure supplies to the affected homes.
Water officials had to make further network changes at breakfast time, when demand for water increased and supplies were disrupted again.
A spokesman for South Staffordshire Water said water supplies to the affected homes went back to normal at about 8.30am.
Work is continuing to mend the main pipe, which is located in a field.
