Village to remember war fallen

Scores of villagers are expected to convene at the Pelsall memorial on Sunday morning to pay their respects to fallen service personnel.

Eucharist will take place at St Michael’s Church at 9.30am. A service begins at the Methodist Church at the same time before congregations meet at the Pelsall Cenotaph at 10.40am for an Act of Remembrance.

Church leaders will lead a short service at the memorial, which will be watched by war veterans, groups of cubs, scouts and Brownies from Pelsall, as well as villagers.

It will be followed by a two-minute silence at 11am.

And myself, Alison & Carl will be selling poppies in the village the day before…we have poppies to wear and crosses with poppies on for those who want to remember someone at the Rememberace Day service on Sunday.
