Carnival timetable

Planning to go to Pelsall Carnival tomorrow (July 2)?

Here is the timetable of events:

7am – car boot sale opens to exhibitors

10am – craft show opens to exhibitors

Noon – trade and craft stalls open to the public

12.30 – Assembly of floats

12.45pm –  Fair opens

1pm – Crowning of the Carnival Queen, Maids of Honour, Princess and Rosebud in the main arena

1.15pm – Judging of the floats

1.45pm – main procession through the village.

Arena 1 timetable

2.10pm – The Mark Allen Roadshow demonstration

2.15pm – Piston Ring Junior Motorcycle Club

2.40pm – Piston Ring Junior Motorcycle Club

3.15pm – The Shelfield Knights Display

3.30pm – Walsall Coronettes Band Display

3.50pm – Carnival Queen/Princess presentation

4pm – Piston Ring Junior Motorcycle Club

4.35pm – Jo_Leigh School of Dance Display

4.55pm – Piston Ring Junior Motorcycle Club

Arena 2 (dog show arena)

4pm – Zumba display.

    Epic fail of a procession, 1 decent float and an old lady on a motability scooter. Pathetic.

      That’s a real shame. Couldn’t get there, so can’t comment on it. However, maybe other readers may like to comment. It must take massive organisation to sort the carnival and the floats are subject to masses of health and safety/insurance problems. How many floats were there altogether? Even if it’s only a handful, at least people made an effort to join the procession. I’ve been told how much hard work it is to sort out a float.
