There are plenty of activities going on in Pelsall this weekend:
St Michael’s Church, Hall Lane, is holding a family discovery day on Saturday, September 24, between 2.30-4pm, where youngsters are invited to follow a church trail and take part in activities. There will also be refreshments available.
Shelfield Community Academy is opening its doors to celebrate the opening of its new community facilities on the same day.
Take a look around the 3G artificial turf pitch, the new fitness suite, sports hall and dance studio and meet staff between 11am and 2.30pm.
Walsall’s Mayor, Coun Garry Perry will be there to officially open the facilities in Broad Lane at 11am.
And for those who like creepy crawlies – or something a little fluffier, like a guinea pig – head to Pelsall Hall, Paradise Lane, which is holding a fundraiser on Sunday, September 25 for the Rotary Shoebox appeal, which sends gifts to the poverty stricken elderly in Eastern Europe and to children.
Sponsor forms are available from Fiona McCracken on 01922 693399 or just turn up on the day at 3pm.
