Job shop every Tuesday

A job shop to help people find employment has been organised with help from Brownhills, Pelsall, Rushall and Shelfield Area Partnership.

The job shop is held every Tuesday morning at Manor Farm Community Association and is run by a small group of volunteers, who help with writing CVs and covering letters, preparing for interviews, increasing self confidence, presentation and communication skills and job searches.

Diana Southall, from Manor Farm Community Association, who was instrumental in setting up and running the job club, says: “We are passionate about helping people back into work. We offer people volunteer places within Manor Farm, which helps give people valuable experience and helps them to regain their confidence.”

Councillor Zahid Ali, cabinet member for communities and partnerships at Walsall Council, said: “This is an excellent initiative, which has been set up by volunteers with the help of Brownhills, Pelsall, Rushall and Shelfield Area Partnership.”
