Local organisations benefit from carnival profits

Pelsall organisations and local charities have benefited from profits from July’s carnival.

The carnival committee distributes profits every year. For the 2011 event, it gave a total of £3,800 to the following groups:

£300 each to: The Midland Air Ambulance; Friends of Bryntisilio.
£250 each to: Acorns; Pelsall Physically Handicapped Association; Ryders Hayes Community School.
£200 each to: Pelsall Kidney Machine and Research Fund; St Giles Walsall Hospice; 425 Squadron Welfare Fund (ATC); Army Cadet Force (A Company); Pelsall Evangelical Church Toddler Group.
£150 each to: Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group; Walsall Manor Hospital Children’s paediatric ward; Walsall Animal Care.
£100 each to: Walsall Manor Hospital stroke ward; Pelsall Music Society; St Michael’s CE School; Pelsall Village School; 1st Pelsall Scout Group; 2nd Pelsall; 3rd Pelsall Scout Group; Walsall Sea Cadets (TS Vanguard); Pelsall Over 60s Club; The Walsall Mayoral Appeal 2011/2012.
