Litter pickers wanted for Jubilee proms

Litter pickers are being sought for the Jubilee Proms that are taking place in Pelsall this weekend.

The event, which is being organised by Pelsall Pride Partnership, takes place on Saturday, June 2 on Pelsall Common.

A range of acts are performing for free from 11am-6pm and market stalls will also be selling a variety of goods and foods.

However, PPP needs litter pickers to ensure that the common stays as tidy as possible throughout the day.

Sue Hill, from PPP, said all volunteers would be welcome – even if they could only pick litter for an hour during the day. Litter pickers can just turn up on the day and look out for organisers, who will be wearing hi-vis jackets, or go to the gazebo, where volunteers will be directed.

Here is the schedule for the day:

11am – 11:45                 The Final Call

11:45 – 12:15                 Walsall Zumbathon

12:15 – 12:45                 Mark Burden

12:45 – 13:30                Two ‘n’ Eights

13:30 – 14:00                 Danni Currie

16:00 – 16:30                 Getaway Club
