Plans are afoot to hold an inaugural It’s A Knockout-style event on Pelsall Common next month.
The charity fundraiser is the brainchild of Pelsall councillor Coun Garry Perry, chairman of Brownhills/Pelsall/Shelfield/Rushall Area Partnership.
He is now looking for community-minded Walsall residents to breathe life into the concept by contributing ideas for games and activities which can be staged at the event.
“I’ve spoken with a number of companies, including Fitness First, and those working with Integrated Young People’s Support Services who are really excited for this,” he said.
“But we want people to have ownership of this. If they share their vision for ‘It’s a Knockout’ with us and tell us what they would enjoy doing and seeing at the event, we would hope to create a unique community event which brings everyone together for the right reasons.”
The It’s a Knockout based fundraiser is pencilled in to take place on Saturday, 27 October.
Anyone with ideas for games and activities to be held on the day should email Area Partnership Manager, Ranjit Kaur, at firstname.lastname@example.org
