Have your say on verges

Villagers can have their say on Walsall Council’s plans for verge parking proposals at a meeting tonight (November 4).

The Area Panel for Brownhills, Pelsall, Rushall and Shelfield residents will be held at 6pm at Pelsall Village Centre, High Street, WS3 4LX.

The council has plans to create extra parking opportunities in a handful of streets across Walsall, as part of a scheme which will see some grass verges converted to parking spaces.

A short list of locations will be discussed to help address concerns about unsafe and indiscriminate parking.

Residents will be invited to suggest locations  to help the authority identify a local scheme or schemes in those areas that need it most.

Details about the verge parking consultation can be found at http://www.walsall.gov.uk/verge-parking

You can email your views to areapartnerships@walsall.gov.uk, telephone 01922 653705 or 658403 or write to: Walsall Area Partnerships, Civic Centre, Darwall Street, Walsall, WS1 1TP.
