BENT productions, an amateur based LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transsexual) theatre group, has written their own pantomime titled A-Lad’in Tights.

The pantomime is the story of A-Lad’in and how he comes out to his mother, falls in love with the Prince and after gay marriage is legalised by the emperor he finally gets to marry his prince.

The adult pantomime is being staged at Pelsall Community Centre, Station Road, on  January 31 and February 1, 2014. Tickets are available now at £7. For details, email

Proceeds are going towards helping BENT’s future initiatives and to Beginnings, a local project that helps young LGBT people who find themselves homeless due to discrimination from within their own family.

Future projects will include anti-bullying performances for primary schools, LGBT acceptance and awareness productions for high schools and youth groups, plus more productions for the wider community that promote LGBT issues and social acceptance.
