Details about proposed housing on Labour Club site

The Express & Star has reported on the plans for the demolition of Pelsall Labour Club in Church Road,  to be replaced by 20 homes.

There is no date set when the application by Dunedin Homes and Development  is to be heard.

    I notice they got the road numbers wrong in the access statement. Walsall town centre 3.6 miles south via the A4124, Wolverhampton 8 miles west via the B4154 Walsall Rd? Don’t think so.

    I’m also prepared to bet several properties in Chapel St predate 1940, and some property in Station Rd/Victoria Rd is definitely older than 1900.

    I’m not convinced that making a new car park (smaller than the existing hardstanding) will reduce on-street parking either.

    Still, if they really think it’ll save the club, worth a try.
