The council website can be a nightmare to trawl through to find what you need.

Need to know about roadworks in the borough and they may affect your commute?[picapp align=”right” wrap=”false” link=”term=traffic+jam&iid=1397155″ src=”″ width=”234″ height=”156″ /]Walsall Council publishes a weekly pdf list of roadworks in the borough.

You can complain (or compliment) about a service that is the responsibility of Walsall Council.

Street Pride looks after rubbish and recycling, the tips (or Household Waste Recycling Centres as we call them), street sweeping, fly tipping, litter, grass cutting and the cleaning of public conveniences. You can contact the department via email

The borough employs just two dog wardens, which is a tall order, given the almost 600 miles of road and parks etc they have to patrol.[picapp align=”left” wrap=”true” link=”term=dangerous+dogs&iid=4394290″ src=”″ width=”234″ height=”180″ /]They can respond to issues with dangerous dogs and so on, although their colleagues in the environmental health team deal with noise nuisance, such as for persistent barking.
